"Beyond black holes: ultra-massive spacetimes"
A positive cosmological constant provides a new gravitational scale in the spacetime, and this scale bounds the area of (spatially stable) marginally trapped surfaces. I will show that this area bound can be achieved by systems acquiring extremely large masses resulting in gravitational fields more powerful than black holes: there is no possible escape because external asymptotic regions are absent, the whole spacetime being in collapse and with a universal future singularity.
