Modelling Gravitational Waves from Black Hole Binaries
Speaker: Sascha Husa, A

Gravitational wave obserservations of the inspiral and merger of stellar mass black hole binaries are expected within the next few years, and modelling these events remains to be a cornerstone problem in gravitational theory. This talk will discuss the current status of exploring the binary black hole parameter space with numerical relativity simulations, and of interfacing these results with analytical calculations and gravitational wave data analysis.
