SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT

Abstracts submissions are invited for (20-minute) papers only. The submission deadline is Wednesday June 15th 2022 (23:59 GMT+1). Papers should present original and unpublished research related to the study of discourse and gendered violence. Note that the language of this conference is English.

• Abstracts should be sent through the form in PDF format.
   
• These should be fully anonymised prior to their submission.
   
• Papers should be no more than 300 words. References and figures are not included in this word count.
   
• Multiple submissions: Authors may submit up to two abstracts. One as first author and the other as co-author. This means that each participant may present a maximum of two papers at DISGEN1. Registration and fees apply to all authors who wish to obtain a presentation certificate.

HOW ARE SUBMISSIONS ASSESSED?

• All submitted papers are peer reviewed by DISGEN’s scientific committee.
   
• They are marked on a scale from 0 to 10.
   
• This score is always related to five assessment criteria. These are:

                 1. ​Alignment with the seminar’s topic (2 marks)

                 2. Knowledge, understanding and interpretation (2 marks)

                 3. Analysis and evaluation (2 marks)

                 4. Focus, organisation and development (2 marks)

                 5. Research impact and significance (2 marks)
